I got this bed because as a tall 6’-2” guy, I like to be able to sit on my bed with my legs over the side to put on shoes. This is the only bed that has the greatest height from the bottom of the floor that Get Laid Beds offers (from what I could figure). I can fit 12” tall boxes underneath and it’s made storage excellent for my small apartment bedroom. I’m very happy they have a weird Full XL size that fits my needs perfectly.

There is for sure a wood-stain smell outta the box. The stain is pretty and done evenly. I think maybe it could be smoother sanding before applying the stain for a smoother finish but… I’m not running my hands on the wood all the time like a table so not that important. It took about two or three days to air out but nothing that bothered me too much to sleep through the first night. Construction instructions were decent (though they should hire a LEGO person to make the instructions—I did have to unscrew some things because I was a bit confused) and was able to put together alone with a screwdriver and some boxes. I was impressed that everything had good long wood screws to keep mortise / tenon joints in place. Some of the pieces weren’t snug and I couldn’t get rid of a few millimeter gap between the head board and length-wise supports (the tenon didn’t bottom out the mortise), but given how long the wood screws are, I’m not worried about it at all. Could have sanded down a bit but didn’t think too much about it.

Anyways, just a bunch of nit-picky minor stuff that certainly wouldn’t stop me from ordering again. I 100% think it’s worth the price. The full wood construction is so wonderful to have when everything else is stamped metal or big slabs of wood that offer no ventilation for a mattress.

We purchased two single XL beds for our cabin. Liked them enough that we bought two more for the second bedroom. Easy to order. Quick shipments and easy to follow assebly instructions. Solid construction. Very pleased with what we bought

We needed a unique queen size bed for a multipurpose room and we finally found this day bed. Perfect for hosting guests but having more room in the bedroom when needed.

I love my new bed. I did expect more of a finish to its cherry wood bed.

I ended up putting an area rug on my hardwood floor and the bed on top so in my case they weren’t necessary, otherwise they would be very effective for the cost.

A very special aesthetic, low but not on the ground. Solid and chic. I wanted a Japanese minimalist aesthetic, but not on a tatami on the ground. This is perfect.

Very special beds of exceptonal quality and wonderful, attentive. customer service. Delivery as promised and great communications. Love my bed.

Essential to add the floor protectorrs. No scratches on wood floors when it's moved a bit.

Bed is solid, and was easy to put together. Communication from time of purchase to assembly to shipping to arrival was great. Will be purchasing another in the very near future for master bedroom. Highly recomend. Purchased the Low Tokyo Bed in queen size in Oak for guest room.
